Biography
Frank R. Martin is a Delaware-trained business attorney and serves as counsel to Nosal & Jeter, LLP. Mr. Martin focuses his practice on the wide variety of issues facing small and medium-sized business clients including contract review, business formation, governance, fiduciary duties, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and corporate and commercial litigation. Mr. Martin has a particular interest in digital assets and virtual currency. Prior to joining Nosal & Jeter, LLP, Mr. Martin practiced as a corporate litigation attorney in Delaware before moving to North Carolina, where he practiced business law with a small firm and worked in-house to assist the legal department of a multi-national corporation with a series of arbitrations and international lawsuits.
Mr. Martin is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, Delaware State Bar, Illinois State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Martin is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, and the Delaware State Bar Association.
Mr. Martin earned a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, graduating with Honors, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School where he studied entrepreneurship and sustainable enterprise. During law school, Mr. Martin served as a staff member of the North Carolina Banking Institute and completed an externship with the North Carolina Small Business Technology and Development Center. Prior to attending graduate school, Mr. Martin taught fourth grade in the Mississippi Delta as a Teach For America Corps Member. Mr. Martin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science at Vanderbilt University and has also earned a certificate in Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Law from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. In his free time Mr. Martin can be found on the tennis court, with his nose in a book, discussing virtual currencies, or in the kitchen creating something tasty.
